Richard Thomson-Curtis is our Head of UK Private Client Services. Joining us in October 2023 as our Private Client Advisory Manager, he was quickly promoted to his current role, overseeing Private Client services as a whole for the UK. Richard is a significant asset to our boutique advisory firm, not least because he spent the last decade working for two of the Big Four Accounting firms.
Richard began his career in the Private Client team at PwC, where he specialised in providing residence & domicile advice to internationally mobile individuals and private equity executives, as well as advising private businesses and their owners leading up to transactions.
Following a secondment to PwC’s Learning Design team, where his role included the design of the tax induction programme for new joiners, Richard moved to the Management Taxes Team at EY. During his time at EY, Richard mainly provided Employment Related Securities due diligence on a range of transactions, and advised on the implementation of management incentive plans, as well as the creation and maintenance of capitalisation tables for a number of Private-Equity-backed businesses.
Away from his laptop, Richard is a keen cricketer and an avid Seattle Seahawks fan (and he can often be found keeping unsociable hours during the NFL season).
