Born and educated in Northern Ireland, Anthony began his career with PwC in Belfast through their Higher Apprenticeship programme. During his tenure at the Big Four firm, he primarily worked within private client compliance, constructing returns for partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, and trusts and estates. This role allowed him to gain invaluable private client experience, including understanding their filing requirements and navigating the administrative challenges they face.
Beyond private client work, Anthony has been involved in various non-resident landlord projects and European VAT compliance seasons. Additionally, he pursued and completed his ATT qualification, successfully passing his final paper in 2020.
As an Assistant Manager within the Private Client team, Anthony collaborates with the senior team to support client work across a broad range of personal taxation issues. He has taken on a business development role, expanding the firm’s client base and fostering new client relationships. Anthony also provides expert advice on the tax benefits of family investment trusts, helping clients optimise their financial strategies.
His expertise extends to advising on cross-border corporate restructuring, offering insights into the complexities of international tax laws. Anthony has also developed a specialisation in UAE tax advice, guiding clients through the nuances of the region’s tax regulations.
In addition to his advisory roles, Anthony contributes to the firm’s knowledge base by writing technical articles on various tax topics, sharing his insights and technical knowledge with a broader audience.
